Problem - dandruff and irritated scalps

Itching and irritated scalps are frequently caused by a yeast fungus (pityrosporus ovale), which settles on healthy scalps and feeds on excretions from the sebaceous glands.

Substances produced during the digestion of these fats induce the itchiness. The scalp is subsequently lacerated during the intensive scratching which follows, making it susceptible to infections and inflammations. Dandruff is often produced as a result of this.

However, this process is significantly accelerated in the case of a denser accumulation of dandruff. Several hundred skin cells form a cluster and become visible as dandruff.
Everyone has dandruff. Nevertheless, it is normally invisible to the naked eye. As our skin renews itself completely every four weeks, dead skin cells continually emigrate to the skin’s surface from its deeper layers and are rejected in the form of callus cells.
